They've Renamed London Waterloo To 'Waterlove' For Valentine's Day And Not Everyone Is Feeling It

Stop trying to warm our cold, empty hearts, South West Trains.

In honour of Valentine's Day, South West Trains have changed the names of the stations it services to, uh, romantic things.

Like London Waterlove. Which some people think is ":]" .

Aww this was so cute! Happy Valentine's Day, London :]

    While others are less amused.

So SW Trains have changed all their destination boards to insufferable 💝 puns like London Waterlove & Breakfast At Twickenham. Uuugh

Oh god they're calling Waterloo "Waterlove", it's all too grim

Southern Trains unsettlingly embracing Valentine's Day. Can I really be angry about a cancelled train? Yes #waterlove

    Some think it's cute.

Bravo whoever has changed the train signs to London Waterlove, very cute

    Some need a sick bag.

All the train stations in London have changed the train names going to London Waterloo to London Waterlove. I genuinely feel sick 😷

Needless to say, single Londoners are not feeling the (water)love.

omg London Waterloo has change the name on their screens to London Waterlove.. how depressing for us single people

And others are just concerned about the possible confusion.

@EvanEdinger well thats just gonna cause unneeded panic. "next stop: waterlove" nO I NEED WATERLOO WHERE ARE WE GOING?!? *smashes windows*

But it's not just Waterlove making us swoon/cringe.

You can also alight at Beautiful Basingstoke, Kissington South, Passionfield, Darling Dorking, and Romsey and Juliet (no really).

Oh, and Rich (in Love) mond. Which may be a bit of a stretch.

well. @SW_Trains have jumped the shark.

South West Trains are loving the attention.

#SWTValentine - Thank you for all of your fantastic pictures so far, please keep them coming! We're #feelingthelove

    Despite all of, uh, this.

A spokeswoman for the South West Trains-Network Rail Alliance told BuzzFeed that the reaction had been positive so far:

In the spirit of Valentine's Day we asked our customers and employees to suggest quirky romance-themed alternatives to our station names. We got some great suggestions, many of which we are displaying on customer information screens across the network for today only.

We hope those travelling with us today enjoy their journeys and have a lovely Valentine's Day.
