We Tested A Bra Sizing App To See If It Would Actually Work

Because the right bra size is important AF.

Finding a bra that fits well is as important as it is impossible. But lingerie company ThirdLove claims to have made an app that can figure out your bra size at home. So the women of Ladylike decided to test it out to see how accurate it really is:

First, the app asked us what WE thought our bra sizes were...which seemed a little suspicious.

So while Kristin and Jen entered their actual sizes, Chantel decided to enter a completely incorrect size to see if she could trick the app into giving her the wrong size:

Then, the app made us take pictures of our boobs, which was definitely a frustrating process:

Then we had to draw little lines on the pictures to show the width of our busts.

Finally, the app determined that all of our bra sizes...were identical to the bra sizes we entered into the app in the first place (even Chantel's)!

For comparison, we had Briana, a former bra fitter, measure us IRL to see how her sizing compared to the ThirdLove sizes. Chantel's size turned out to be way different.

While Jen's IRL fitting was just a little shy of the mark.

Kristin's IRL sizing results matched up with what her ThirdLove size was...which was still the size she told the app she was in the first place.

So in the end, it seemed like the app was a little bit of a bust — and definitely no match for a real bra fitter.
