The Star Trek trilogy is more like 2, 3 and 4 though.

Where to begin? Matrix 2 sucked so bad that Matrix 3 didn't matter; all of the Die Hard movies after #1 were derivative cr@p; Escape from the Planet of the Apes was significantly better than Apes 2; Indiana Jones #2 was terrible, and the third Star Wars film was a 4/10, at best (Ewoks, anyone?). And Mad Max kicked a$$ over that Thunderdome crap…

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom was rubbish. And it is “Spider-Man” not “Spiderman”. Other than that, this is spot-on.

Personally, I liked T3, Aliens 3 and The Matrix 3. Were there really three Jurrassic Parks?

I agree 100% with the Matrix ratings, but maybe the 2nd should be lower.
I think Terminator 3 is underrated.

I think the newest Batman trilogy will break the trend. I also think that the Evil Dead movies get successively better

@Kris Gosser: The 2nd Matriz, maybe, just due to the action. But the 3rd? I wanted the 2+ hours of my life back. They couldn't even weave the stories together at the end, and the score was just an attempt to paper over boring, boring, boring, with faux exciting faux music.

@Kris Gosser. No, I really did hate those movies. I'd been anticipating them pretty much my whole life, but when it came down to it, I just found them unbelievably boring.  I recognize I'm in a minority on this one, though.

Fairly lame. Godfather 2 was not good at all. Matrix 2&3 will continue to be some of the most underrated movies out there, and although a score for each individual LotR movies would resemble 4/5ths, when you factor in the trilogy as a whole, all should get 100%. And I can't tell if you were sarcastic that the LotR movies sucked?

There were 4 Alien movies, and I kind of liked the third one.
