PETA Attacks Mario Bros.
You ever wonder where Mario gets those cute little Tanuki suits he wears to make him fly? From Tanukis, obviously, which are real actual animals, also called Raccoon Dogs. And PETA is (understandably) pissed that he’s still wearing Tanuki fur in the new “Super Mario 3D Land.” So pissed that they made a fun little Flash game about it. Which is apparently what you do to vent your frustrations when you’re mad at an imaginary video game character.

silverhellion a year agoYes, this is very true. It’s a little known fact that the cartridges and CDs of the game are lined on the inside with the actual fur of the Tanuki! Thank you PETA for making this known; along with a highly educational game too!

I feel like PETA is the reason I always get uncomfortable looks when I mention I am a vegetarian. I mean, attacking Mario is Westboro Baptist Church levels of douchery. They are just trying to get a reaction.

turtlefeed a year agoRaccoon Dogs are real animals. Jack conveniently provided a link to Wikipedia’s article on tanukis in the description, you guys. Incidentally, when I posted something very similar, no one freaked out at me. Why freak out now? PETA is trying to make a point about wearing fur. Basically, don’t do it. I mean, that’s not such an awful idea, right?
