I'm excited. Brain Rush and Destroy Build Destroy look amazing, and all the classic cartoons have long ago moved to Boomerang anyway. A lot of their current animated shows are garbage, why not try out something new?
TV Buzz Andrew WK (previously of partying really hard) has a new Cartoon Network show called Destroy Build Destroy, which involves helping teenagers smash things. Dubious concept or not, Andrew WK is the world's nicest, most enthusiastic guy and it's tough not to root for him. Here's his new promo for the network - it's equal parts aggravating and endearing.

You let these live-action shows in, and the next thing you know there are no cartoons at all…except for the lame-ass adult swim reruns. I say no! These people own the entire repository of Warner Brothers and Hanna Barbera cartoons. They've produced some pretty memorable shows of their own as well. Why they feel they need these ripoffs of Survivor, Paranormal State and other various Discovery/A&E fodder is beyond me. Yes, blah blah cheaper to produce blah blah tween market blah blah Disney and The N blah blah blah. Those audiences are going to move on anyway; they'll be back. I now have one DVR set specifically to record nothing but the cartoon offerings. When these crap live-action shows come on, and the kids want to watch, they're not allowed. They can watch the banked cartoons…and sorry to say more and more of that bank comes from Nickelodeon. I couldn't care less who this Andrew BK person is. What I do know is this — Cartoon Network does one thing right - cartoons.

This is not good news. Go back to playing old Jetsons episodes, Cartoon Network. That's your job.
