Nope. Don’t need special pans at all. The dough has to be the kind you roll out and NOT like for drop cookies as you have to shape the dough to the pan. Most people buy pre-made dough like from that brand with the giggling mascot (not naming the company so as to avoid endorsement questions) as it has the right consistency for this sort of thing. And, yes, you have to keep it cold while shaping.

I’ve seen bread made in cans on grills, so it makes sense that way, too.
