The headline for this on the front page is the real joke here. “How Congress Derailed One Man’s Life”? It sounds like he did a fine job of that himself. As Maryak says, “…if you’re able to operate without 27% of your budget, then good on you, you are a well-planned individual. I just don’t think that’s average, and it’s certainly not the life I’ve led, which is my own fault.”

It’s not much different from simply breathing on an average day in Beijing, no?

Well then I’m very much alive, because I noticed so many inconsistencies that it turned me off from watching the show. I’ve thought about going back and compiling a list of the contradictions, but that would be subjecting myself to even more stupid than I already suffered through. No thanks.

Except watching Toy Story was fun. I tried to watch The Walking Dead and the only conclusion I could draw was that the “survivors” wouldn’t have lasted a week if there were any sort of logic in the writing. One example (SPOILER ALERT!): that blonde lady gets attacked in the RV, screams her head off, starts shaking the vehicle violently as she stabs the zombie to death, and yet somehow none of the rest of the zombie horde notices? If you can suspend your disbelief far enough to accept that scene, then yeah, I guess it’s a good show.

My responses are not regarding the covers themselves. It’s about damn time. But it certainly seems like some editor somewhere was thinking, “Girl-on-girl, yeah, even the bigots can fantasize about that, but we better not show two guys making out or we’ll be in trouble.”

There is a reason I refer to the man who fathered me as “Father” and the man who raised me as “Dad”. One of them is a man I deeply respect and love.
