Student’s Yearbook Photo Rejected For Being “Too Sexy”
Students at Durango High School in Colorado are allowed to choose what they want their yearbook photo to be. Unfortunately for Sydney Spies, student editors deemed the picture inappropriate and “unprofessional”. What do you think, BuzzFeed, is this photo appropriate for a school yearbook?
“Brian Jaramillio, another editor, adds: “We are an award-winning yearbook. We don’t want to diminish the quality with something that can be seen as unprofessional.”
“The editors all turned their backs on me and changed their minds”, said Spies. “I really do feel like they were intimidated by the principal.”

Barenakedness a year agoShe needs a shirt! A real shirt that covers her ribs, not a “I’m 21 now & can wear whatever I want cuz imma definitely gettin’ laid tonight after we leave the club” shirt! I wouldn’t let my 17 year old wear that in public!

Don’t women that realize when you call someone a slut, a high school girl no less, it’s the least feminist thing you could do? Men can sleep around + wear whatever they want and no one is going to judge them. And you’re bashing her over what? A belly baring top? I’ve seen high school girls wear things way more provocative. I mean, they’re marketing thongs to twelve year olds nowadays. Why don’t you worry more about a world that’s encouraging teenage girls to believe the only way they can receive social acceptance and popularity is by dressing a certain way and then slapping them in the face with the inevitable backlash from haters like you? Take it up with her parents and the media. Geez. I was 16 once, too. And I remember worrying about what I’d wear because if wore anything less than sexy I’d be called a prude and then when I wore anything fashionable I’d get called a whore. I hope she realizes she’s a beautiful girl and she’d look good in a potato sack. And I seriously hope she doesn’t stumble onto the link and have it affect her self image.

Well, this picture suggests that her 1st child isn’t TOO far away…besides, “whorepocrisy” starts in the mind: they THINK they can, because it’s their right to do so (dress a certain way, talk a certain way, act a certain way) but as soon as somethin’ BAD happens because of HOW they PRESENT THEMSELVES, then suddenly it’s NOT their OWN fault…phucktards !!
