Response to One Direction Has A Justin Timberlake Problem:
Great article and excellent points but I think you’re counting your chickens before they hatch. None of them will pull a Justin Timberlake per se, but Harry definitely has a fighting chance as a solo act. His voice, style, stage presence, and swagger lend themselves to more of a rock n roll vibe, not JT’s polished pop. And that chivalry that loses him controversy and buzz has earned him the admiration of millions. Times are different, circumstances are different, and predictions are irrelevant. But if Solo Harry Styles was a stock, I’d be investing heavily.
It’s the weirdest thing, it seems like guys are SO afraid of rejection that when they sense it (or get it out right) they turn into complete monsters, which is kind of a Catch 22. Yikes.
Pipe down, people. She had to have been referring to all the people booing them. There is no drama there — her tour mate Ed Sheeran is 1D’s BFF and she just performed with Ellie Goulding, who’s Niall’s girl.
