A Man Performed A Stunning Opera During His Own Brain Surgery

So much beauty. So much stress.

Slovenian opera singer Ambrož Bajec-Lapajne had been diagnosed with an operable brain tumor. During surgery, he was asked to sing to make sure he wouldn't have any post-surgery deficiencies.

He said he sang “Gute Nacht” in different keys to make sure he could still recognize them, and it's absolutely beautiful.

But the surgery can be scary to watch at times (2:45), where he drones off a little bit and can't speak.

But don't worry! He recovered like a champ, started singing again, and proved his motor skills.

A year later, he's back to singing and perfectly fine.
