After years of hard work and training, Cleaves was given a football scholarship to Lambuth University in May of 2009.

However, only a few months later, Cleaves was involved in a head-on accident. He wrote on his You Caring page, "While trying to avoid them I swerved off the road and flipped into an embankment.

He was left paralyzed from the neck down, and his parents became his full-time caregivers. He wrote, "Unfortunately, during this time they both lost their jobs."

Day by day, and year by year, Cleaves slowly learned how to perform simple tasks and live a normal life.

He recently graduated from the University at Memphis with a degree in Computer Science. He wrote, "Although my dreams of playing sports were shattered, I am fortunate to have new ones."

Soon after an emotional video of his father crying and himself dancing appears, the video reveals that the oncoming driver was texting and driving, causing the accident.

Cleaves wrote, "I am one year away from college graduation and want what any educated, ambitious young man desires – to be a productive and independent citizen of this society."
