Born 1978. You know what I remember most about the 90s? Alternative rock. Man, were we dying for something different. Hair metal rocked when it was good, but it had been squeezed dry, and they were churning out some real junk by the end of that. Fresh Prince? Totally from the 90s. Oh, Nicktoons… you made me love Nickelodeon, after only a passing like. But what I remember most about the 1990s? All these other old farts padded our existence because “You might get hurt!” So if they wax philosophic about what was missing, it’s because they took it away. It’s their generation that broke it. Thanks for the disconnect. (I became a mom in 1996, so I get a little bit of dig on both sides.)
