Referring to the Kardashians as the "First Family" of America has been interpreted as a faux pas on Cosmo's part.

Technically speaking, the "First Family" is a U.S. title unofficially reserved for the President, his or her spouse, and any of their children.
A fact which many on Twitter were quick to point out.
