Shireen Baratheon Is A Beautiful Precious Baby. So Good. So Pure.

Goodnight, Princess. Spoilers for Game of Thrones season 5, episode 9: "The Dance of Dragons."

SPOILERS BELOW for Game of Thrones season 5, episode 9: "The Dance of Dragons"

Shireen Baratheon was the sweetest child this world has ever known. And now she's dead.

Her own father, Stannis neé "the Mannis" Baratheon burned her alive because some bottle-ginger fire witch told him to.

As we mourn for Princess Shireen, it is for us to remember her at her best and not dwell on her death, if only because she died in pain and screaming for her parents to save her from the flames.

Remember when we met Shireen? She was a lonely, adorable child singing to herself at Dragonstone. Despite her grayscale-scarred face, she glowed with innocence.

And when Ser Davos, six-fingered fave, was locked in the dungeons, it was little Shireen who kept him company. Her soul was just that kind.

She taught Davos how to read, leading to one of the best comedic lines in Game of Thrones history.

Shireen also saw through all the fussy maroon bullshit that is Melisandre.

The showrunners even blessed us with this beautiful scene between father and daughter earlier in the season, which in retrospect was extremely rude.

So pour one out for the Princess, Game of Thrones fans. She will be sorely missed.
