“don’t touch them!”
“don’t touch them!”
Like to see him try that with a vintage typewriter! (he would, he totally would…and he’d get away with it.)
sigh, why would a 4th grader be talking about their three children watching them kill an ant…so silly of me.
Sheriff Andy from Eureka is sadly not present, despite several other SciFi channel (sorry “SyFy” channel) series being represented.
#3 with the creepy eyes behind the cloth, Yikes!
you need to be more specific in your headlines buzzfeed instead of “a lot of people” how about “a bunch of ignorant assholes on twitter”.
Richard McDonald: Brother why did you hire an insane man dressed as a clown to promote our restaurant? Maurice McDonald: I didn’t, but I’m too terrified to tell him to leave!
When you see Admiral Ackbar screaming “It’s a Trap!” whenever someone goes for the truffle oil in the pantry. When you get a perverse pleasure from seeing the cockiest chef go home first. And it’s not the closeup that tells you who’s going home, it’s the “why are you here?” or “What do you want to do with the money?” right before they leave to let the judge’s deliberate.
Is it just me or is Jeff Daniels playing Harry from “Dumb and Dumber” in that Crash Test Dummies video?
is anyone else bothered by the fact that 300 wasn’t the romans?
Worked at a place that had candy in a syringe, I suggested instead of removing it from the shelves we pair it with a insulin shot.
So glad I am not alone in my weird anxiety at possibly doing this.
No mention of the enormous pockets that went all the way to the hem sometimes?
Isn’t the guy in 19 in a New Belgium ad now?
Call me crazy but something about that hospital room totally works.
As an art nerd #5 cracked me up.
Not enough Weasleys.
I suspect I could fry up some pilsbury crescent dough and still be totally satisfied.
“…people who rip streams when they go there, you’re never going to sell the record to them, anyway.”
This is the most important thing ever said about music downloading. the RIAA and MPAA claim billions in lost profits but the majority of people who download things were never going to pay for them in the first place, or already have but for one reason or another cannot get digital access.
I like to picture him using this puppet in front of a moving background to illustrate relativity.
Hahaha you actually think there’s jobs in monster.com
Scouts can no be open about who they are, but nothing I have read seems to tell what affect this will have. Many openly gay scouts have been accepted by their troops but denied Eagle Scout rank because the entire local council makes the final decision.
My favorite part is when they tell you, “thank you for CHOOSING us for your service.”
The ad when I played the video was a McDonald’s smoothie ad that said, “Take a second to feel the breeze”…oops.
I actually thought it was more like the rhino scene in Ace Ventura When Nature Calls.
Admittedly it is obnoxious to be wishing death to the employees of the company that probably have their own shit to deal with (though it is fun to think of 7000 people dipping diamond crusted donuts into that super expensive cat crap coffee, probably not)
Why are we even giving this drivel more attention than it deserves? And I am partially responsible…crap
People who profit off of a broken system will fight tooth and nail with those profits to maintain that system. Also thousands took out loans from the federal government or other places only to have that debt purchased by sallied Mae and this no choice but to contribute to the and broken system.
Of course its on Tuesdays!
Sexism against males: criticism fornot responding to threats and insults with agression; not fitting media ideal; threats to masculinity by way of likening an individual’s traits to that of a girl or woman; “the friend zone”. Two of these things are actually sexism against women by way of men. Sexism against women: being revered to as an I object; object being receded to as she and her; being used to insult men; being refered to as a women first and her career or accomplishments second (or third if she is a mother); constantly having to deal with sexually demeaning or aggressive comment as part of a “shared workplace”; having to justify medical procedures or medications; living up to the media ideal; “the friend zone”; being called overly sensitive or hystrionic when calling attention to sexism because staying silent means power remains with the vocal and incumbent opposition.
I would probably trade my kid for one dressed like Prince for halloween.
Probably a good thing I am not a parent.
8. Falsely feeling threatened by others pretty sure the queen in Snow White was guilty of this too.
Number 27: you need to get in shape so you can drink more than two beers at the bar.
There’s that one you tube channel that does anatomically correct spider man and ninja turtles, they need to do anatomically accurate Arthur with this.
I’m actually really offended by the casting of Ben Kingsley as Mazer Rackham since there are certainly Maori actors who could have played the role. At the same time, the Battle Room is way more interesting that I’d imagined, and the way the trailer sets the tone is awesome. Anyone who is shocked or appalled by the story (who is unfamiliar) after that set up isn’t paying attention. Now if only they would make an alternate reality site/game for Demosthenes and Locke.
I love the little ball detail on the last one.
“Sweatshops are a symptom, not a cause, of shocking global poverty” is the truest statement in any of these. Furthermore the working conditions and safety concerns are a symptom of the shocking global disinterest in other’s well being for the sake of meeting outrageous productivity goals and spurring “economic growth”. SHould economic growth really be the goal? is that growth the path to lifting people out of poverty is it just another way of creating a greater gap between wealth and poverty?
How do mature, not sexist gamers silence a vocal minority without giving up gaming time with their mothers, wives and daughters?
Before commenting on a article titled “why it matters” with a response of,”why does it matter?” maybe try reading the article. Maybe what you are trying to say is “it shouldn’t matter” which is great for a group of people with perfect empathy and absolutely zero prejudice but we live in a world where the presence and visibility of normal healthy people of all kinds must be constantly promoted over the quick and easy classification endorsed by the media. Many might say,”well I’m smart enough to recognize that influence.” Great! You are in the minority because lots of people let the media do their thinking for them while they focus on paying bills or feeding kids.
