‘Sound of Music’ Train Station Prank
These nice Belgian people pulled an Improv Everywhere to “Do Re Mi” in a train station. I've been struggling over whether to post this for the last couple hours, but in the end: I really f*cking love it. And I think the internet is home to more closet Sound of Music-lovers than we might think. (Thanks, Videogum).

While I agree with Andy Baio that there's something special about Improv Everywhere's “pure” approach to these urban/public happenings, I also agree with Amanda—I really f*cking love this. I've never seen the live musical, and I only saw the move once, but the surprise and charm and whimsy and..just sheer happiness of this is undeniable. Thanks for posting it!

I think part of what made Improv Anywhere so charming was that it was urban play with no ulterior motive. When it's sponsored by a phone company or, in this case, a Belgian TV station, it takes away from the fun. Any big company with a budget can pull off a coordinated outdoor display… They're paying people to do it!
