i’d say these are pretty accurate, and the advice is pretty on. it just fails to mention all the catty fucking cunt women who step on their fellow women with their high heels and sabotage each other.
“…therefore you are not get taken seriously.” Hope the person who wrote the sign are not get taken seriously after that mistake.
Man, I hate this almost as much as I hate alcohol, particularly vodka.
Most of the people seriously arguing that “this makes sense” are just revealing how sexist they are. It’s one thing to say, “this is mostly true information about the (sad) world we live in” and another to say, “yes, I take someone less seriously because of the way they sit.” This is coming from a man. If you take someone less seriously because of a handshake or something like that, you are part of the problem. Don’t even get me started on the “women are naive” sh*t, because I could introduce you to some female lawyers who would run circles around you in negotiations. Actually, most of the best lawyers at my old firm (which brought in billions) were women.
So basically, women are not welcome in this club. This reads a lot like a sexist’s list of piss poor excuses for women have always been and should always be excluded from upper management. Just because businesses have been historically run by pigs doesn’t mean that they have to be in the future.
Men at work I don’t take seriously- The Fantasy Football guy
The guy who constantly adjusting his balls
The I’ve been to 5 Jimmy Buffet concerts in 2 years guy
The Trekie Kirk > Picard guy
The Hipster I haven’t shaved in 8 months guy
The I play Pokeman during lunch guy, being Korean does not give you pass on this
last but not least - The WoW guy.
I don’t think it has anything to do with gender. Well, at least not totally. It’s all about confidence, no matter your gender. If you have a good self-esteem and a confident demeanor, then you’ll give a solid handshake and be assertive in meetings. Unfortunately, a lot of women feel intimidated by men in the workplace just because it’s perceived as a man’s industry. But men can have those feelings too.
I don’t know what badge to press. All of those points are reasonable and true. If I see someone doing any of the things that the poster claims sabotage women’s careers, I won’t take them as seriously as if they acted the way the poster suggests. Although most of those pointers seem like common sense.
“Therefore you are not get taken seriously.”
Are not get taken seriously
Are not get taken
Are not get
Are not get
Are not get Maybe instead of making a sheet on how women are doing it wrong (which, actually, looks like things people should do in business, men should GET FUCKING USED TO US.
Women are women. We’re not changing for anyone else.
