Artists/Illustrators/Designers Tribute To The Late Legendary Muhammad Ali
Ali is a legend and will always be. Personally created a graphic design piece to pay tribute to him, hoping other illustrators/artist/designers can contribute to this.

My name is Zi Wei Tan and I am a Singapore-based art director. After watching countless movies, I noticed a trend that I am sure most of you will be aware of. In most of Leonardo Dicaprio’s movie, he was always portrayed as this central character with a signature suit that you will be seeing him wearing throughout the whole movie (best example is Shutter Island because he was stuck on an island for the whole movie). So I got my inspiration and initiated this project to document the suits from his movies as a way to pay tribute to efforts of the behind-the-scene stylists of the movies. The series focus on creating strikingly minimalist posters that feature close-ups of the suits actors wore in the different films. In creating these posters, I hope to highlight an interesting sartorial element of the movies that you may have missed. Below are my works, hope you guys will enjoy it. And Congratulations to Leonardo Dicaprio for winning the Oscars. Follow me on instagram.com/zw_suit_n_tie
I love the idea of Batman v Superman and the only and favourite comic book i read was Frank Miller's landmark series The Dark Knight Returns. I felt the movie posters Warner Bros Pictures did was good but felt it can be better. I drew references from classical art - Superman drawing references to renaissance painting of Jesus and Batman’s colour palette from Dante et Virgile au Enfers (Dante and Virgil in Hell) by William-Adolphe Bouguereau, to create the current pieces.
Star Wars movie is releasing soon and the light sabers craze is gonna be back. There are lots of cool and well produced light sabers out there, most i couldn’t afford, or more like i couldn’t bear to buy. So inspired by a Pinata Whack Stick, I designed this easy DIY light saber where you can destroy it after each battle (just slightly not so environmentally friendly). Simply download your favourite colour, print it out on a A3 paper, roll it up, join 2 together if you need it longer, and have fun. Cheers.
I took 4 classic star wars character and reimagined their colours and key elements to turn them into minimalist suit & tie posters. For example, putting the star destroyer prints on Darth Vader's tie, the Tie fighter on Stormtrooper's bowtie, using light saber blue for Obiwan's tie and the alliance logo on Luke Skywalker's pocket square. I have been creating minimalist suit & tie posters for a while now and is always trying to look for interesting topic that I apply my technique onto. Previously I have also creating the Avengers minimalist suit & tie posters. They can all be found in ziweitansuitntie.tumblr.com
Hi there, hola, ni hao, I’m Zi Wei Tan, an art director/illustrator from Singapore. I recently created a series of poster around the theme of “Find yourself at home, anywhere.” The design is simple, simply finding the familiar house icon in the flags of the different countries. The images can be seen at https://www.behance.net/gallery/30492789/Find-yourself-at-home-anywhere I hope these posters talks to people who love their own country and that the creative twist to the flags put a smile on people’s face. Something new yet familiar.
Playing with the similarity that some logos had, eg. same starting alphabet, I swapped the names of luxury brand logos with fast food logos to experiment to see what it will look like.
Over the past few years, I have been researching about the possible colour/design combinations for suit & tie, from movies to Leonardo Dicaprio to Justin Barbin. I always felt that suits can go beyond the normal black and blue and dark grey and all these posters have to prove my point. Here is my collection of vector art suit & tie posters (till date) for everyone to see and be inspired.
Being a Fan of star wars and Pocky, I had a thought of replacing the deadly long stick in their hands with something slightly more delicious. Chocolate side of the Force or Strawberry? Which Flavour would you choose? Check out more of my work at tanziwei.tumblr.com
I have been playing Neko Atsume these few weeks and find them so utterly kawaii that I came out with the idea of putting them in smart suit and tie as well. So here's the series. I am a illustrator/graphic designer that does artworks of suit and tie (menswear) usually. My previous collection includes illustrating all of Leonardo Dicaprio's Suit and Tie in his movies as well as creating a new collection for the Avengers (Avengers' Suit and Tie). Just try googling them. If you guys like it, I will create more. Let me know
