5 Things You Need To Survive The Cold

If you live anywhere in the United States that is not Florida or California, you are experiencing extreme cold. Here are certain items you need to survive this horrible cold.

1. Blankets

You can never have enough blankets! Make blanket forts, blanket rooms, wear a blanket around as a cape. The blanket is your number one shield from the cold when indoors.

2. Hot Chocolate

Nothing warms you up like a nice mug of hot cocoa! Throw some marshmallows in there to make it an extra sweet treat!

3. Fireplace

Curling up in front of the fireplace is a sure way to fight off the chill. Keep that blanket wrapped around you and have the mug of hot chocolate in your hand, and you will be keeping the cold at bay. If you do not have a fireplace in your house, please fight the urge of starting a fire. That is dangerous and could lead to horrible results.

4. Netflix

You do not want to go outside at all. Therefore, you will get to know the TV shows and movies on Netflix very well. You will watch all of House of Cards, Orange Is The New Black, and Breaking Bad. Upon finishing that, you will wander into unknown territory until you won't even know what you are watching. Days will merge together and you will forget what day it is. Hopefully, the temperature has risen from the time you started watching the first series.

5. Layers of Clothes

If you are brave enough to go outside, make sure you throw on every layer of clothing you can! I'm talking about long sleeve shirts, sweatshirts, sweaters, jackets, ear muffs, hats, gloves and everything else you can fit! You'd never see Jon Snow out in this weather without his furs!
