From the pool report by Time’s Alex Altman:
At about 7pm, Gov. Romney got back out of his bus to say hello to a group of perhaps 10 people; it looked like a large family, but pool wasn’t permitted to approach. Your pooler wasn’t close enough to catch much of the small talk but did hear Romney, smiling, tell a small boy, “If I win, you may want to say you shook my hand.”
- At least 36 people have died in Friday's fire at a warehouse party in Oakland. Officials say they are no where close to finding a cause.
- A judge has declared a mistrial in the case of a South Carolina officer who fatally shot Walter Scott, an unarmed black man, in 2015.
