Obama Gets Caught Up In #Linsanity

White House Press Secretary says the president is "very impressed" by Jeremy Lin.

President Barack Obama is caught up in Linsanity, according to White House Press Secretary Jay Carney.

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Carney said Obama told him this morning that he is "very impressed" by New York Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin's breakout performance on the court.

"It’s a great story and yes, [Obama's] very impressed and fully up to speed," he said. "I know he’s watched Lin play already and he’s seen the highlights from last night’s game."

"It's just a great story, and the president was saying as much this morning," Carney added. "It's obviously terrific for the New York Knicks, but it's the kind of sports story that transcends the sport itself."
