10 Biggest Issues And Plot Holes In Jurassic World

What went wrong in Jurassic World? Now don't get me wrong I watched and LOVED Jurassic World. I talked about it incessantly for at least 2 hours afterwards. Part of the fun was picking out the plot holes and finding the Easter eggs. So here are the issue we came up with...

10. The raptors were not trained as well as they would have us believe.

Remember earlier in the film when that fool fell into the Raptors enclosure? Owen was a total hero and went in after him. At best I would say he distracted and confused the raptors. He maintained eye contact, acted all brave and heroic and dazzled them for a minute. But as soon as he broke eye contact and made a break for the exit the Raptors were on him. He was about half a second away from being a Dino dinner. Now you can't tell me those Raptors were ready to be let out in the open with a bunch of men following behind like a pack of blood hounds.

9. The Raptors changing their loyalty.

Lets assume for a second that those cute little Raptors were indeed trained and viewed Owen as their Alpha. The only way I would assume he would lose that position to the Indominus would be if he was defeated by it. He wasn't but the Raptors just shifted their alliance for no good reason. But even so lets imagine once again that these creatures don't follow the law most animals do and they in fact switched alphas just because. Why the hell did they switch back again later and defend Owen? Umm no they are stretching my acceptance now.

THEN... The T-Rex and the Raptor team up to over come a common enemy. I can accept this, what I can't accept is that they have peace with each other afterwards. Umm hell no! They more than likely would then try to rip each other apart. They are not friends, do we not remember Jurassic Park?

8. Pteranodons making their great escape.

The Pteranodons took flight, they stopped off to grab a few human snacks for the road and some of them got shot down. However... some did NOT. Where the hell did they go and why does that not seem to be concerning anyone? I'll tell you where they are, they are hitting the main land and pecking the crap out of people on their way to the grocery store or out for a morning jog. Nothing like a Pteranodon breathing down your collar to turn that jog into a sprint.

7. Size matters.

Yes people in this case size matters. The movie is based around the fact that people these days are bored with the dinosaurs on offer and want a bigger one. Something so big it will absolutely dazzle and crap all over that teensy T-Rex who is so 1990's. So this begs the question why couldn't I see the difference between the two when they were fighting it out. Half the time the only way I could tell them apart was the scratches on T-Rex from that pesky Raptor back in the original. Sure the hybrid may have been a tiny bit bigger but not enough for JW visitors to notice the difference in size especially if they weren't sharing the same enclosure and seeing as they don't play well with others I imagine they would be kept in isolation.

6. Gyrosphere that they can't steer

These orb type machines are super cool and glide around among the more gentle Dinosaurs to give guests an up close and personal experience. I personally have never seen a vehicle like this. It is high tech and undoubtedly maximum fun. Question: In all this high tech designing no one thought to have an over ride system or a remote control feature where the operator can take control and bring them back to base? What if some rotten child or adult repeatedly rams their Gyrosphere into a dino leg? What if there was to be an emergency like say... a giant hybrid killing machine should break loose?

5. Jeepers

A jeep that has been sitting stagnant for 20 years merely needs a little tinkering from a kid and its ready to go. Just recently I left my VW Beetle (The new cute ones not the cool classic ones) under a tree at my friends house for about 2 months. When I went to get it, it wouldn't start. I spent over $4,000 Aussie dollars on that baby and it still doesn't work and I have been told it will take at least another $4,000 to get it going. Needless to say it is sitting in the driveway where I got it towed to and it still doesn't go. My point... I have a shit car... oops no, my point is that I find this totally unbelievable especially where it was stored, getting wet and covered in leaves etc.

4. A main attraction you can't see.

Why oh why would such clever people be stupid enough to create a hybrid dinosaur for the sole purpose of being a main attraction only to give him the ability to camouflage himself? I get that the exact mix was kept a secret but seriously the person funding this or the park manager or someone would surely have been notified for safety purposes. That's like saying the Colonel doesn't know all 11 secret herbs and spices. Pft... sorry not believable.

3. Running in heels.

In the original Jurassic park I learnt that a T-Rex was fast. I remembered it because the scene where it chases that jeep gave me nightmares for years and that skid never did come out of my brothers underwear. Basically it was doing a great job of keeping up with that jeep. Now in Jurassic world we are expected to accept the fact a chick in heels could out run that same T-Rex. I guess he is 20 years older but nope I'm still not buying it.

Notice that sweet scene near the end where the parents were reunited with their children? Well I did and I'm wondering why the hell they are bringing more people into the danger zone? This would not be happening, there is still too much danger.

Anyone else notice the small issue of a Raptor, some Pteranodons and a freakin' T-Rex remaining free at the end. Not to mention that giant thing that we have now discovered can jump on out of the water and eat shit. This is not a happy ending people, it just means they've gone for a run to work up an appetite and will return for mains shortly. GET OFF THE ISLAND AND NEVER COME BACK... NO, NOT EVEN IN ANOTHER 20 YEARS. The humans seem to be the only ones not getting smarter.
