1. Trying to win over your residents at the first floor meeting of the year.
2. When the duty phone rings at 3AM.
3. When someone messes with your door decs and/or bulletin boards.
4. When drunk residents tell you that they haven't been drinking.
5. When sophomores actually come to the program you've been planning for months.
6. When residents wake you up early because they locked themselves out of their room.
7. When it feels like you've been on duty forever, but it's only 10:30PM.
8. Waking up for an 8:30AM class after you were up late handling an incident.
9. Walking around and feeling like a boss while you're on rove.
10. Hearing residents shouting "SHOTS, SHOTS, SHOTS, SHOTS" on a cold night.
11. When residents try to smoke in the residence hall.
12. Becoming best friends with your staff during training and for the rest of your life.
And though sometimes you may question why you took this job in the first place...
At the end of the day, you know you're changing lives, making a difference, and have one of the most awesome positions ever.
