Social media has given the ability to be anonymous on the Internet. Being given the ability to be anonymous has changed how people interact. We are able to say things to people that we would have never said before. An example of social media site that utilizes anonymity is Tinder.
The quotes listed above are an example of how Tinder has enabled people to interact in new ways. But when we pull these comments out of their original context we are able to see that they do not follow traditional social norms. Social media has now allowed users to create different personas. Tinder allows some users to be a different person than who they are in reality. This has both positive and negative effects.
