Promising review: "This product is basically witchcraft, it's so good. I used this cleanser in place of a makeup remover, and it almost disintegrated my makeup for me. I read somewhere that this product wasn't recommended for the eyes, but I used this cleanser on my eyes with my contacts in with no issues. In fact, it took off my waterproof mascara like it was nothing! I simply followed the instructions, applied to dry skin, rubbed in circles, and rinsed. I was so wowed by this product that I basically ran out of the bathroom and tried to get my aunt to take her makeup off with it. There was no burning or feeling of scrubbing like every other makeup remover I've ever used. I then followed up with a foam cleanser. I've been using this routine for a few days now, and I can already see the difference in my skin when I wake up. This is what nice, clean skin looks like! Maybe soon I won't even have to wear makeup at all. My skin type is combination skin with hormonal breakouts, for anyone who is curious. 10/10 recommend this to everyone I know." —Ashley

    14. A ~premium~, multitasking organic coconut oil not just for removing makeup — it can be used as a lip balm, hair mask, massage oil, and much more!

How is this different from regular store-bought coconut oil you ask? Kopari says it tested dozens of coconut oils from all over the world to discover the best formula for use on both skin and hair. The coconut oil is sustainably sourced from small family farms in the Philippines and made from fresh, virgin, and 100 percent organic coconuts. This product is vegan, hypoallergenic, gluten-free, cruelty-free, and organic.

Promising review: "I’ve used the organic coconut oils you can find in supermarkets, pharmacies, or vitamin stores but I found them greasy and truly thought that’s how coconut oil is supposed to be. That changed when I got the Kopari coconut melt. It deserves five stars because it really is the purest coconut oil you could get and it smells amazing; I read on their site they purify it with charcoal filters. I use this from head to toe and even on my under-eye area when I want more moisture at night. It is absolutely the best liquid lipstick remover; it gets everything off in one swipe and moisturizes at the same time. It works perfectly as a hair mask or a heavy duty body oil. The coconut oils from the supermarkets never fully absorbed or even did anything for my hair or skin, but this oil actually makes a noticeable difference. I guess if you are happy with the coconut oils you get at the supermarket then stick with them, but if you find them greasy, ineffective, and intend on using them on your face, then try this instead because it won’t clog your pores." —Kristina130

Get it from Sephora for $28.

Not ready to make a splurge? Try out a jar of organic coconut oil from Amazon as a more cost-effective option!

This gets everything off — mascara, eyebrow pomade, foundation, everything!! Have repurchased several times, it has become my holy grail makeup remover!" —MT

Get it from Dermstore or Ulta for $28.

    16. A makeup-melting balm that won't just take all the product off your face — it'll leave your skin hydrated, supple, and radiant (thanks to the skin-softening serum, collagen, hyaluronic acid, peptides, ceramides, and antioxidants in the formula).

Promising review: "I've been in the market for a makeup remover that doesn't leave me oily and doesn't require a lot of rubbing on my skin. This one definitely fits the bill. It melts away my waterproof eyeliner, mascara, and shadow and rinses clean. I still use a facial wash, but it doesn't require a lot of extra cleaning and cloths. It has the consistency of Chapstick in the tub, and when you put it on your face it dissolves into a nice, smooth oil. You won't use but maybe a quarter or more sized amount for your whole face, so this tub is going to last a while! Rinses clean, with no residue." —stupidlamb

I can't decide if my favorite part is the fragrance (very herbal, similar to neem) or the emulsion part after removing your makeup. All traces of makeup are gone, there is no residue, and my skin looks like it's had a cup of coffee. If you've struggled with skin care and you're looking at different options, or if your skin is in good condition and you're looking into effective (and pleasant) cleansers, do yourself a favor and give this a shot." —Amazon Customer

The product is alcohol-free, paraben-free, and fragrance free-making so people with sensitive eyes and skin can use it (and that includes contact lens wearers)!

Promising review: "This is the best stuff EVER!!! I have used it when I've made a mistake with my eyeliner. I can use a cotton swab, dip it into the floral water and viola — I wiped the mistake and still have all my eye shadow, mascara, and corrected eyeliner intact!! I have also used this to remove mascara that I've messed up on the lower lashes! It is such an amazing product! I am a fan for life!!!" —Loren M. Mcghee

Get it from Amazon for $24.

    22. An inexpensive yet effective cleansing oil that'll instantly emulsify when it touches water, taking all traces of makeup with it.

I personally swear by this oil for removing makeup. You apply it to dry hands, massage it onto your face, and the makeup dissolves before your eyes. Once you add water, the oil turns into milky liquid and washes right off, along with all the product on your face. The pump is super easy to use and keeps the product clean (you don't have to dip your hands into it). It works just as well as the expensive brands out there and doesn't make me break out (I have sensitive, combination skin). I'll usually follow with another face wash (just my preference — it's not necessary) but my skin never looks better than when I'm using this!

Promising review: "This wash is AMAZING at removing makeup. It squirts out like oil and immediately starts dissolving foundation, eyeliner, and even mascara. It's very gentle — so gentle in fact that you can open your eyes while you massage the oil into your face. No burning, no irritation. With a little water, it thickens up and washes away completely clean. I know this is intended to be followed by another cleanser, but often I stop after using just this because it gets the job done so well. Despite being oily, it doesn't cause breakouts and does not make your skin oilier." —K. Jenkins

Get it from Amazon for $9.89.

If only all makeup-removing products worked as hard as Mulan's sleeve!
