Hijacked Gagarin Goes Back to Space

The Yuri Gagarin monument in central Moscow (aka 'Dude, where are my suitcases?'), in a single gracious stroke fulfilled all the urban myths and legends about him - eg 'If you look close enough, in the wee hours of the morning on April 12, Yura will wave his hands' - and swooshed back to space. The prank probably involved elaborate coordinated efforts to simultaneously switch off the floodlights illuminating the 42 metre tall monument and launch the laser projection that created the illusion of disappearance. The news report attributes this to Voina, the radical art group famous for its epic NSFW pranks, but many doubt it - Voina's actions are far more politicised and obscene, and, besides, Banksy's new favourites have other stuff on their minds right now. At the moment many online commentators in Russia claim this is a viral campaign by LifeNews, the very TV channel that reported the "disappearance". Still impressive.
