I'm a synaesthete! I'm 20. My name's Moriah. I listen to music, read books, write poetry, essays, and terrible short fiction. I didn't finish high school and I don't know if I'll finish college. I don't follow orders well. I like to think, although sometimes I get tangled up in my brain to the point where everything stops making sense. I like languages, and words, and letters. I think letters like "k" and "t" are especially nice because they're solid and angular, but I love the way "z" buzzes between my teeth and "s" is slippery and usually brief but sometimes makes fantastic humming bridges between words. Name a letter, and I'll tell you why it's a lovely one. My favorite English words are mildly obscure ones, like "amanuensis", "yclept" and "echolalia". I am fond of medical words because I like to piece their meanings together from familiar roots. I'm pretty much an open book, though not always one to volunteer information. I'm probably crazy, but in a fun and hopefully slightly endearing way. I have a phobia of moths. A screaming, crying, huddling under the covers phobia of things that are sometimes smaller than the tip of my thumb. When I'm upset I brush my teeth compulsively. That's really all you need to go on.
