A Lot Has Happened Since Scott Walker Promised A Brand-New Jobs Plan

Scott Walker told Wisconsin he'd have a new plan for job creation in his second term by the spring, but spring has come and gone, and a lot has happened since then.

Many months ago, Governor Scott Walker told Wisconsin he'd release his new jobs plan in the spring.

Despite making a 250,000 jobs promise during his campaign for governor in 2010, Walker's jobs plan at the time was only four pages long. Nearing the end of his first term, Walker's lack of serious planning and strategy has landed Wisconsin in last place in Midwest job creation since 2011 - ranking 10th out of 10 states.

In contrast, Mary Burke's "Invest for Success" plan was introduced in March and met with high praise from media and economic experts alike as a thoughtful and coherent strategy to turn Wisconsin into a thriving, top-ten economy.

It was in early February when Walker said he'd have a brand-new jobs plan by the spring. Well, spring has come and gone, and we still haven't seen a plan from the governor.

Walker's commitment to a spring release was almost 200 days ago, a lot can and has happened over that amount of time. Here's a look at what's taken place just this summer...

With just 76 days until Election Day, Scott Walker is running out of time to present a viable plan to bring Wisconsin up from dead last in Midwest job creation.

Families living paycheck to paycheck in Walker's economy can't wait for it to be politically advantageous for the governor to release a plan, they need good jobs now.

Governor, It's time to get to work.
