The person behind the quickly growing twitter account @MensLeagueGuy apparently has terminal cancer, or as he likes to call it, ball cancer.
@MensLeagueGuy, a popular twitter account among casual basketball players, chronicles the life, times and philosophy of that crazy old man always playing basketball at the Y. Unfortunately, it seems like his days are numbered.
Just yesterday, he tweeted this:
Got some bad news today. Doc says I have cancer in my balls. Playing every game like its my last now. RT to raise awareness 4 my ball cancer

For some reason, doc said I would die after my 1000th tweet?? Also said no more hoops. I said okay and drove straight to the gym. My nirvana

I guess from now until then this feed will be my magnum opus: hoops knowledge, & my manifesto on how to live a meaningful, FUNDAMENTAL life.

If it's true, @MensLeagueGuy only has about 400 tweets left before he passes. He says his life goal is to spread the Good News of Fundamental Living, on and off the court. Though an absurdest & bizarre use of Twitter, this performance comedy piece deserves the recognition it deserves.
