Coming Out In 2015

I came out to my family on Monday. The reaction I got from my family and friends was overwhelming and unexpected.

When you think about coming out in 2015 there has been so many negative stories of individuals being ridiculed and their families disown them. It was everything that was going through my mind when I decided to make this post public.

I decided to post this on Monday night on Facebook to finally tell my story.

The comments continued throughout the day. There hasn't been in time in my life where I have felt more supported and loved than after all this happened. My message to those who are afraid to come out. Sometimes you have to take a risk and everything will fall into place. You might now hear from these people ever but trust me, when you need the support, there will be many standing by your side.
