    A Superficial Ranking Of Generation I Pokemon, Part II

    Everybody, please calm down. I am back for the second half of this ranking. Yes, I know, you were worried I would forget about this. Sure, maybe I did for a moment, but I'm back and ready to knock this out.

    Before we begin, I would like to thank u/DarkBlueAnt for the Lickitung art in the Thumbnail. I have no connection to them, but googled "unsettling Pokémon" and their beautiful work came up.

    Also, I should get in front of this. I am aware this is weird, ranking Pokémon by their physical appearance but it's the only thing getting me through the workday.

    Okay, let's begin.

    92. Kakuna

    Kakuna has a sleek look but is also kind of boring. At least there's no confusion which direction it's looking.

    91. Kadabra

    Kadabra is cool and all, but that tail is crazy.

    The feet don't fit with the rest. It's a cute bird with the talons of Fearow.

    A moth with endearingly large eyes. It has a certain je ne sais quoi.

    Lickitung was initially ranked at #160 but then I had a thought. What does Lickitung look like when it isn't sticking its tongue out? I mean, it doesn't live in its natural state with its tongue out like that, right? So I did some googling and it turns out Lickitung without its tongue sticking out looks like a pink Squirtle. Pretty cute.

    Machoke's look did not work. Machop's look kind of did. Machamp's look definitely works. I guess it's the extra arms.

    I like it because back in Hisuian days, or whatever it's called, Poké Balls were made out of wood. So, obviously the Poké Ball Pokémon are wooden too! That's fun!

    51. Staryu

    I used to hate Staryu (and Starmie) but in recent years I've come to appreciate the emotionless "stare" of this star Pokémon.

    Fun Fact: In 25 years of playing the Pokémon games, the only shiny Pokémon that I've ever come across was a Staryu.

    Entering the Top 50 we have Starmie. It's like Staryu but with a nicer color and more limbs (or is that just another Starmie doing a headstand?)

    49. Tentacruel

    I don't remember what I wrote about Tentacool, but whatever it was it does not apply to Tentacruel. Tentacruel is badass.

    47/48. Pidgeotto/Pidgeo

    I was in 7th grade when FireRed and LeafGreen came out. I was also in 7th grade when I found out Pidgeot existed. Before that, I thought Pidgey evolved into Pidgeotto and that was it. As far as I'm concerned, they are interchangeable.

    Should I have put it as "48/47" since this is counting down? I don't know what I'm doing.
