THE GOOD:

1. Will Smith

Why it works: I am constantly surprised at how good at social media Will Smith is. Is this video a little too produced? Sure it is! How'd they even shoot him on the roof? Oh right, a drone. Not totally relatable but still good! In fact, I would say the best of the bunch!

2. Ciara and Russell Wilson

Why it works: Is this a little too planned? Definitely. Is background a location that most of us could only dream to afford traveling to? Yep. But Ciara's moves are 🔥 and, really, — I just think she and Russell Wilson are cute AF.

3. Steve Aoki

Why it works: Well color me impressed, Steve Aoki! I'm not sure I could pull off that dance on land, let alone water, and for that you get 8 crying emojis!!

Why it works: The most beloved couple on This Is Us heads back to set for the first time in months and they give us this? We are blessed.

Why it works: Okay, Odell!!! You've got moves and I'm impressed. I also like to imagine that he was on the way to a very serious business meeting and just HAD to pull over to shoot this video and ended up being late.

8. The Queer Eye guys

Why it doesn't work: Usually I love everything the Fab Five does, but something about this just doesn't work. Can you believe?!

9. Shay Mitchell and King Bach

Why it works: Both of these two are viral video monsters, and yet somehow this video is a little too campy. Specifically, the ending where I forgot what I was watching and felt like I had time-traveled back to 2015 when Vine still existed. (RIP Vine, love u 4ever)

Why it doesn't work: First of all, it's a nine-second video. That's not even the whole chorus! Second, is that all of the anchors they could convince to do the dance? (Reader, in fact, it was: Hoda later revealed on the show that the only people she could convince to do it were Al and some Today staffers whose names we don't know). Next time, let's try a little harder, guys — we know what kind of performances you can give when you really try.
