2. “I get headaches and I don’t need time off work.”

3. “Have you tried going sugar free?”

Or going organic? Or gluten free? Or only eating between the hours of 3am and 7am? Just because it worked for your friend doesn't mean it will work for me.

4. “Just take some aspirin.”

When it comes to migraine pain, a lot of over-the-counter medications just don't hit the spot.

5. “You just need to something to distract you from the pain.”

FOX / Via giphy.com

Many people get light sensitivity with their migraines, meaning that TV, mobiles, iPads, or anything that involves having your eyes open, has to be ruled out.

6. “It’s just a headache.”

NBC / Via giphy.com

Tell that to the food I can't keep down.

7. “At least you’re not dying.”

ABC / Via giphy.com

Thanks?

8. “Is it that time of the month?”

BBC / Via giphy.com

It's true that for some women, migraines flare up depending on their menstrual cycle. However, it's pretty rude to ask.

9. “I wish I could hang out at home all the time like you.”

USA / Via giphy.com

Pounding head. Nausea. Vomiting. Light and noise sensitivity. Body aches ... Yes, I certainly won the golden ticket.

10. "Can it really be that bad?"

NBC / Via giphy.com

Yes.
