Orange Really Wasn't Velma's Color

A bright orange turtleneck? Not ok & I don't care how incredibly high on the intelligence scale you are (because apparently intelligence excuses individuals from understanding how to dress properly).
From which suburb of Walmart did Velma purchase her bright orange turtleneck and what was the motive behind never taking it off? I'm not trying to say I was looking for more nudity, name brands, or vogue as a child watching Scooby-Doo, but I was looking for a little more polish from one of the comic world's greatest superheroes. But, maybe it was because when Velma "lost her glasses" she also lost the rest of her wardrobe.
Truth: they should have let Velma look hot.
Now before you get all fired up about having to read another feminist rant, pump your brakes. This is a truth that people don't discuss and feminism has been exhausted farther than the fat kid trying to finish the mile. We are all over reading about it.
Additionally, let's not try to place even more importance on appearance. We already have Cosmo fighting for skinny with the adobe creative suite, Dove working towards loving love handles with average looking people in Costco white tee's, and the Burger King losing the battle towards obesity with the world's worst burger. I don't want in the middle. What I'm trying to place is more importance on the power of wisdom by accepting that appearance is a necessary first step. Had Velma looked beautiful, children may have been more enthusiastic about their GPA.
Now, here is my reasoning, which I will further explain. Young people need a superhero that inspires the power of intelligence and the unfortunate truth is that they will not see 'superhero' until they first see the aesthetic. Velma is a superhero with the power of intelligence. Superheroes wear cool outfits. Through the transitive property of math the conclusion is as follows - Velma should have been wearing something kickass.
I don't care what decade she stems from, orange turtleneck? So not kickass.
