1. The average class size is 16 with a student to faculty ratio of 12 to 1. Your professors will get to know you, and notice if you decide to play hooky on a sunny Thursday afternoon.

2. FSPA Heritage and ministry on campus. The Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration founded Viterbo University 125 years ago and their heritage is still very strong on campus

On campus is the San Damiano Chapel, with the St. Rose Convent across the street. Mass is held every day, as well as twice on Sundays. Through campus ministry there are volunteer opportunities, bible studies, retreats, service trips and much more! Although Viterbo is a Franciscan Catholic university (one of only 23 in the country!), all faiths and religions are welcomed.

3. Coulee Region. Who doesn't love landscapes carved out by the Mighty Mississippi! Not only is it gorgeous, but Forbes ranked La Crosse, WI within top 50 small places in United states for education, job growth, and business for 2014.

4. Free Activities and Services on Campus!

A picture from the 2015 Courtyard Carni that is held on campus every year on the last day of class in May. Also, VU After Dark hosts many events throughout the year for students such as casino nights, hypnotists, game and movie nights, and comedy shows. There is an Academic Resource Center on campus where 95% of students will stop in to receive academic assistance of some kind for ANY of their classes. A walking track, 3 gyms, huge weight and cardio room, as well as free fitness classes make the Mathy Rec Center a huge hit for students.

5. Viterbo Values. Contemplation, Hospitality, Integrity, Stewardship and Service are the five core values implemented on campus. These can be witnessed in every facet of the university.

6. Hands-On Experience. Whether it be in a classroom lab, research with a professor, internship, or clinical every student will get a hands-on education!

Most classes on campus incorporate some sort of hands-on experience. Because of the small class sizes the opportunities for research with professors and internships are abundant for all students! These experiences are a huge reason that they have consistently had a 97% job placement rate across the board!

7. Opportunities Offered (study abroad, research, internships, service trips, etc.)

A service trip during spring break 2015 in Cincinnati. There are also study abroad opportunities around the world ranging from two weeks to a whole year! All students in the Dahl School of Business are offered a guaranteed paid internship, and the amount of on campus jobs are endless. Pretty hard to not find a few great opportunities at Viterbo.

10. Our 17 Varsity Athletic Sports are associated with the NAIA and are a force to be reckoned with.
