Jump-rope is more than children's favourite, it's also a great and tough sport. Don't you believe me? Just check this amazing video out.
This stunning Hungarian dance, called csardas, is performed by Adrienn Banhegyi, a professional jump-roper.
Of course, Adrienn isn't the kind of person, who mastered the technique jump-roping in her free time. She was a professional sportswoman, who jump-roped on competitions for more than 15 years.
Adrienn has many World and European Champion titles, and two world records as well.
One of these records is triple unders, a category, wich needs an exquiste technique – you have to pass your legs under the rope 3 times during a turn. In 2006 Adrienn managed to jump 330 triple unders – most people couldn't do any at all!
With her amazing skills, Adrienn not only performs on special events and Variete Theatres, but also on tours across Europe and North-America. She was selected to be an artist of Cirque du Soleil too.
In another video you can watch her presenting her knowledge in Budapest – the capital of her homeland, Hungary.
According to Adrienn, she also works as a physical education teacher for helping children and adults.
Jump-roping is a great way to maintain your body, it's also a great fun and getting more and more popular. So why don't you just start to practice?
