    Memorial Day

    America's Day of Honor!

Memorial Day in America is the kickoff to the summer! A somber occasion every year in remembrance of all of our courageous veterans that have been lost. Being brought up in the 60's and 70's we were no strangers to the significance of this Holiday. I'm not sure that the classrooms of today teach our children to respect our fallen as they did back then. Today is not just a three day weekend to enjoy barbeques and drink. I feel we all should take the time to visit a memorial and Thank all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. The family and loved ones of our soldiers bare heavy hearts, weather they have lost someone or just hoping they don't.

On this day we should try and reflect about how far we have come in just three centuries. The cost of human life in the wars that have been waged is eminence. In just 24 decades we have come from The Declaration of Independence, to what we all now see as our everyday life. Our fore father's surely didn't in anyway, predict how far we would "evolve"? We should never forget where we came from and the battles it took to get here. Our very existence is predicated in fact upon the caskets of those who have fought and died, to ensure our rights and freedoms. We have this day in Memorial to honor the dedication and sacrifice for all those who are but memories now. We should be in great Honor today and everyday, because without all of the brave veterans that have come and gone where might we be now? Never take our lives here in America for granted, as surely one day will will be tested again.

I do hope that all of U.S. has a fantastic and truly enjoyable Memorial Day, we have earned it in so very many ways. Please teach your/our children the meaning behind this sacred day. We, at the very least owe that to those who have fought for our children and died. I am, like so many of you, extremely Proud to live in the USA with all of our joys and freedoms! We get to enjoy a huge barbeque with family and friends to remind U.S. just how truly blessed we are. We have the greatest honor to live in the best place on Earth, and with that comes great responsibility, most of which is just simple Respect!

All of my Heart felt appreciation to everyone that has served...
