Homage to Dad

As all of us have or will have to deal with the death of someone whom is LOVED in our lives, I have on Monday 9/7/2015 lost my Dear Father. He was very blessed to have had so very many loving friends who have been so supportive since his passing! My Dad was not only a good soul, he was also such an easy Human to be around (in a world where this quality has been eroding). He left his mark in time by being a good person. As his son I am very proud to be able to carry on his name (as a Jr.) When a son carries his father's name and we meet someone that may know our Dad, and they ask are you "___" son? and you reply why Yes, Yes I am. Then with a kind smile they say to you, your Dad is a "great guy" it's a pleasure to meet you.The son's heart then fills with tremendous PRIDE & HONOR to have called him Dad! As sons and daughters we think (and hope) our children will hear the very same statement, knowing at that moment we have done our parents proud.I have been Blessed to have had one of those Fathers! He will not be forgotten and he knew he was Loved. Upon his passing and reaching the gates, when the Lord looks upon him and asks "So how was your life" his face fills joy as he replies "Thank You Lord" my Life has been GREAT"

I started this page on his birthday this year and along with his support and kind advise to hang in there kid and just wait. He told me that my desire to create a forum where all good people would come together to support each other and be supported, in good times or bad, comes from your Heart. Therefore God will shine upon you, because helping each other is his word.

Today is 9/11, a day of National Remembrance; when this day ends and tomorrow comes, may we take the time to also remember the two people who have given us Life? Would we maybe take the small amount of time to share (personally or in prayer) our Thankfulness for our Lives as the alternatives are unknown? May everyone be as Blessed as I feel upon the loss of one of my two givers of Life.

(ps) let us together remember on this sacred day of Tragedy 14 years ago, that the UNITY our Country felt collectively after 9/11 has only been achieved a few times in our History. Respecting that we "can, everyday", together (UNITED), be just that, "The United States of America" Our Country has been predicated upon this very foundation?? Every one of us shares one common attribute, we are ALL Human and "Divided, we will Fall" NEVER FORGET, thank you
