Google Outage On Westcoast

There have been many reports this past hour about Google being down. Don't worry, Google isn't down. A major internet provider out of California, Level 3 Communications, is having connection issues with their link to Google.

There have been many reports this past hour about Google being down. Don't worry, Google isn't down. A major internet provider out of California, Level 3 Communications, is having connection issues with their link to Google. Some carriers such as Comcast have so far been unaffected, where as others such as SureWest have been affected. So unfortunately anyone who is on a carrier who is using Level 3 as a service provider will have issues reaching any and all of Google. But for the rest of us, you shouldn't see a problem.

Any companies who utilize two internet carriers should look into rerouting to someone else other than Level 3 Communications until the link is restored.

However, some rather humorous moments ensued.

Update: There are others across the Nation that are also reporting outages as well. It is assumed now this is an issue on Google's side with a few select carriers.
