Meet Eric Myers and his fiancée Adi Alfa. They are both 29 years old and live in London. The two love birds have been together for almost 3 years.
Myers works as a video director and editor while Alfa works as an actress, make-up artist, writer, and producer. They crossed paths while working on the same set a few years ago.
Myers told BuzzFeed News that "once we got to know each other, we fell in love quite quickly." They went on to set up their own company called Boss Media, alongside a mutual friend.
Myers said he has always been pretty certain that Alfa was the one he was going marry. "You get to an age, where if you meet the one, you know. And you [have to] never let them go," he said.
He did what he set out to do and proposed to Alfa during his sister's graduation party. "My dad gave a speech about how proud he was that my sister [had graduated], then he invited me up to say a few words..."

"I struggled to finish my speech as my voice was so shaky, little did she [Alfa] know I was now on one knee with a diamond ring asking her to marry me," he explained.
"When she eventually realized she was that shocked, she almost collapsed and so my dad had to hold her and keep her from falling," he said.
In the speech, Myers said he explained how wonderful he thinks Alfa is, which led to the guests getting teary-eyed. 😭❤️
Myers said his sister hasn't forgiven him for proposing at her graduation party, in fact "she promises to get engaged at my wedding," he said.
"Unfortunately, Alfa's mum is in hospital for a while receiving treatment for a long-term mental health diagnosis. The night before the engagement she had spent hours crying. ... Seeing her crying made me feel so bad but I knew the surprise the next day would make her happy," he explained.
To ensure the day would be extra special for his girlfriend, Myers made sure Alfa's brother and sisters were present. They traveled all the way from Liverpool.
Myers shared his heartwarming proposal Monday on Twitter, and it now has over 19,000 retweets and over 354,000 views on Nigerian Wedding's Facebook page.
"We are both overwhelmed by the response to the video," he said.
"We are just glad that people want to share the love because with what's happening today, it seems there isn't much love left in the world," Myers said.
