"The day I saw Whoopi Goldberg on television I cried so hard... I kept looking at my daddy like 'there's someone on TV that looks just like me'... I can be on TV," Jones said.
The Ghostbusters star got tad teary during her little tribute to Goldberg: "I love you for what you’ve done for black women. I love you for what you’ve done for black comedians and I love you,” she said.
Jones told her she wants to inspire the younger generation, the same way Goldberg had motivated her: "When I put on that Ghostbusters suit and little girls see me, they are going to go ‘I can do it.'"
And people are loving Jones' little tribute to Goldberg.
