Veronica J.

My name is Veronica. This is my story. I was born in the arctic tundra sixteen years ago, and soon abandoned by my jealous parents when they discovered that I would grow up to be more amazing then them. I was adopted by a pack of wolves and they raised me and taught me their ways until I was about 10. Wanting to find myself, I secretly packed my things one night and left from my family's wolf cave and ran all the way to the arctic coast where I spotted a boat of fisherman. I asked them where their boat was headed next and they said to the far east. Naturally, I was always up for adventure, and with their permission to board I became a crab fisherman for seven months on our way to the east. Storms were rough and there was little food, but with my survival knowledge I became first mate within two weeks. As we sailed along Japan's coast, the crew was busy arguing over having a mutiny so I could captain the boat, and they were too distracted to notice that I had jumped off and swam to shore. I made myself a house on a hill and lived there for about two years until one clear, quiet night a group of skilled samurai attacked. See, I had snuck into the emperors castle the previous night and snatched some royal jewels right under the guards nose, and I had expected him to send someone after me. I was hiding under my bed with a broom handle, ready to strike. Long scene short, within about four minutes I was triumphantly standing atop a pile of samurai bodies with my broom handle in hand. I knew that the emperor would be furious, so I packed my things and left that night. I sailed to China and walked for months, through the middle east until I came to France’s coast. As I stared at the Atlantic Ocean, I noticed a pack of sea turtles floating by. I grabbed my bag and swam out into the water to hop onto their backs. Turtles are very fast swimmers. I was in Florida by a few months. As I was walking through the bayou I saw a man struggling with a 12-foot crocodile. The large animal was about to devour the man, but thankfully I acted fast and tossed a few fish that I had caught past the crocodile and it was so distracted it let the man go and swam after them. The man was thankful, and he wanted to do something to pay me back for saving his life, so he offered to take me across the county on his small plane. I agreed, and I traveled all over the United States until we crash landed in a cornfield in Illinois. As me and the man said goodbye, he confessed that he had fallen in love with me and didn’t want me to leave him. Me being freaked out by this stalker-y act, I waited until the man was distracted and I ran into the cornfield, walking through the night until I happened upon a small town. The place was quiet and close-knit, and looked like a nice place to live, but I had spent my money and didn’t have the materials to build a house- so I snuck to a house and have been living here under the owners nose for about 3 years. They are still unaware of me.
