Tess Munster Haters - Take A Seat

No, really. Sit down and read this.

The Tess Munster Hype And Hate Is Several Shades Of Stupid.

Ok. For Real. Really. I've seen a LOT of people post on Facebook and other platforms that this Model - Tess Holiday (government name, Tess Munster) is wrong for encouraging obesity, being a bad role model for health and that they don't understand her hashtag ‪#‎Effyourbeautystandards‬ , because she still wears makeup and has beautiful hair and clothes (that are ''standard'' beautiful fashion forwards).

Slim girls call her out for body shaming them, she gets hate every day for simply being plus size. I've looked into her, and I haven't seen her body shame slim girls. She just encourages people to love their body and withstands a LOT of hate. Tess supports everyone, every body.

Here's what needs to be pondered...

    1. OF COURSE SHE'S NOT ENCOURAGING OBESITY.

For real? Fun fact! Keep in mind, she works out 4 times a week. Despite her weight, she does have routine healthy activities. And if she dives into a corndog or McDonalds occasionally.. I mean.. I do that. She may be plus size, but she is still health conscious. Isn't that a positive message? She is, of all things deliberately encouraging people to be confident no matter what state they're in.

    2. WHAT ABOUT ''ACCEPTABLE MODELS'' AND THE THINGS THEY ENCOURAGE?

Hello... have you seen Cara Delevigne's coke bloat face lately? Out in the open, does drugs. Her choice. Have you seen Alexa Chung chain smoking and being accused of being too thin? It's a thing. But nobody rags on them because they're ''acceptable'' beautiful, shiny, standard models. Again, they can do what they want. ''Modelling and Role Modelling'' are different. Why pick on this particular model for encouraging bad things? Oh, right, because she's overweight and that makes you uncomfortable. Personally, I think she's a great role model.

    3. NOT ALL OVERWEIGHT PEOPLE CHOOSE TO BE.

There are illnesses, medications and other issues that can cause people to gain weight. Who are we to know if she is a curvy model by simply gaining weight, or having medical reasons.

    4. SHE DIDN'T SIGN UP TO BE A ROLE MODEL.

Unless she has a morality clause to not wear lingere and show off her body, unless she's signed with an agency that doesn't do plus size... she's allowed to be in her body as it is and do with it what she loves. If you're telling her to take a seat and stop encouraging obesity - remember this.

    5. THAT SAID - She is a positive role model for all of us who aren't considered ''Perfect''. People are so used to the norm of what beauty is, accepting other people for the beauty they have, something they're not used to, can make people hatey. And that sucks.

    6. THERE IS A TINY MARGIN OF WHAT IS CONSIDERED BEAUTIFUL.

She isn't only encouraging curvy women to just love life and themselves - what about people with disability? How many famous models have a wheel chair? A missing limb? Scars? Any disability? I don't see many. I say this, because obesity can be considered a disability. If you consider her weight an imperfection, and others who aren't ''perfect'' or would never be considered to model for those reasons mentioned and many more, think about it... this is encouragement for everyone.

    SO.

Stop being controversial cry babies. I think she's pretty. I have no problem with her career. I hope it brings comfort to every woman, even men, who have felt shit in their own body because of the airbrushed world we live in.

If you don't dig her look, fine. Just don't be a shitty person and put more hate into the world. Ok?

    Let's all do that.
