If time travel was possible, then right now I would go back into the time where there was no Internet or computers.Sure, they have made our lives good, but they also have made us lose our freedom. I cannot begin to imagine that there used to be times when there were freethinkers in this world.There used to be times when you could do anything and everything you want to without anyone judging you. The reason why we do not have good literature anymore is because of this, we do not have freethinkers anymore. Allen Ginsberg wrote 'Howl' as a cry that wasn't supposed to be heard by anyone, he had no intention of publishing it, yet he ended up doing that; the time he wrote that poem was the time his mind was free.Since Internet came we do not even want to go out rather we can do a world tour in one day over Internet, but where is the essence of life now? We all are nothing more than mere machines. And I am nothing more than a hypocrite who is writing this on the Internet.The times have changed, and I accept it; yet I cannot go along with the change. I don't think there will ever be a Thoreau, Neruda or even Frost again; art is over almost. No, no, let me rephrase because art is everywhere nowadays everyone is a poet; I think the timeless art is over.
