1. Consent is mutual and verbal

"Real verbal consent is legitimately asking the question, with no pressure, and being okay with getting 'yes' or 'no.'"

2. Consent is enthusiastic

"It's got to be outgoing, it's got to be affirming that that's what they actually want to do."

3. Consent is the responsibility of the initiator

"It's their responsibility to make sure that the other party is feeling okay, feeling comfortable."

4. Consent needs to be achieved at every stage

"Consent at every stage essentially means to initiate any activity or change to any activity, consent has to be reaffirmed."

5. Consent cannot be pre-determined

"Maybe you want to get a kiss in there, you have to ask for that. You can't just go for it. Make sure everyone involved is into it."

6. Consent cannot be given when intoxicated

"If someone is too drunk to drive, they are too drunk to give consent to sex."

"If I can't sign a contract when I'm drunk, how am I supposed to consent to having sex when I'm drunk?"
