Recently joined a UF Living Learning Community? Don't know exactly all of what that entails or looking for reassurance that you made the best decision ever? We've lined up our top 10 reasons why UF LLCs are so worthwhile, and why it's great to be a #UFLLC Gator.

1. LLCs Are Total Matchmakers!

Living Learning Communities bring together students with the same majors/fields (East Engineering, North Pre-Health, Tolbert ROTC), students with similar interests (Yulee Global, Trusler Leader-Scholar Program, Reid Arts, Gatorwell at Springs and Jennings, Infinity Entrepreneurship, and Weaver International House), and students of the same academic program (AIM, Hume Honors, Innovation Academy).

2. Members of LLCs Have Exclusive Networking Opportunities

Living Learning Communities are run with special input from student leaders and have dedicated staff members committed to their success. LLC Gators have an "in" to special seminars and programs hosted throughout the year.

3. Study Buddies!

Since members of LLCs generally have similar career paths and are taking some of the same classes, it's easy to buddy up with some neighbors from down the hall to study for those tough exams. We also have a unique partnership with the UF Teaching Center for in-hall tutoring opportunities and exam review sessions for:

4. Exclusive Classes

Members of living learning communities can sign up for additional classes such as: Choices in Wellness, Sustainable Solutions for the Built Environment, Un-Common Reads, Creativity in Context, Creativity in Action, Choices in Leadership in Scholarship, and more!

5. Connect with Faculty

UF Living Learning Communities engage with faculty mentors or advisers-in-residence. Our faculty partners facilitate events and networking initiatives, hold weekly office hours for academic and career advising, and support other LLC programs.

6. Get Better Grades

Research shows students in living learning communities get better grades! LLC students also graduate at higher rates than their non-LLC peers and report greater overall satisfaction with their college experience.

7. Live in a Community that Supports Wellness and Self-Care

With recurring events like "Walk and Talks" with UF faculty and staff, yoga classes, mindfulness workshops, and healthy cooking demos, as well as community amenities like dedicated lounges and study spaces, and coloring books and pencils in each LLC, UF LLCs recognize that taking care of YOU is wildly important! #UMatterUF

8. Unreal Amenities

3D printing and mobile app development technology, a Naval ship simulator, and a gallery and art/dance studio are just some of the amazing exclusive amenities in our LLC facilities.
