The City of Angels (and Kobe)! You love the outdoors and beautiful weather so much that you want to see it all from the inside of your car, driving alone, in traffic, forever. LA has hundreds of thousands of Jews and you'll fit right in as you brunch your way to a career as someone's assistant. JK, LA is dope. So dope that you can say "dope", unironically.

The city so nice they named it twice. Well, that's New York, New York technically, but it's still great. You don't need a car, there's every kind of food in the world (that delivers to your door!) and, like, a gabillion Jews. You open your door and at least three Elijahs will come through just because you live in New York.

Brooklyn

Portland's on the rise. It's almost a place where you can just call it "Portland", without having to say which state it's in. Portland is a strange place where rummaging in a dumpster for veggies is cool, biking is called "cycling" or "anthropormorphic mechanized municipal conveyance". Plus, they've got great coffee.

Dallas is more Texas-y than Austin, but way less Texas-y than El Paso. Dallas is like your friend who loves a gourmet farm-to-table sustainable meal, but drinks a 40 of Steel Reserve with it. There are totally Jews in Dallas too, but they're spread out in Downtown, Plano, Casa View, Oak Lawn, Cedar Crest, Garland, and a bunch of other places that sound like names of retirement homes.

Almaty is the largest city in Kazakhstan with over 1.7 million people and the word Almaty comes from the word for "apples" so that's... something! Almaty is like the New York of Kazakhstan with the stock exchange, museums, and the tallest building in the country. It' not like New York in that it sits in the foothills of the Trans-Ili Alatau and doesn't have great bagels (or a lot of Jews).

Oh Paris, the city of love and the most annoying, but somehow lovable Gilmore Girls character. You can walk down the river Seine, eating delicious fare while shopping for fashionable wares. Paris, originally called Parisii by the Celtics who founded it, was the inspiration for why the Nintendo Wii is called the Wii (probably).

There are so many Jew(s?) in China! The Jewish culture is booming because we Jews are sometimes loud when we sing. Really though, Beijing is a great place to live and build community. There's incredible cultural happenings, sports events like the 2022 Winter Olympics, and delicious Chinese food, but there they just call it 餐饮.

There are about 100,000 Jewish people living in Sydney (according to the 2011 census) and every one of them is happy to host you for Shabbat dinner and to play with their pet Koala and/or Kangaroo. Sydney, which was founded as a penal colony, now calls residents "Sydneysiders", which is way cuter than "deported criminals". Sydney is known for it's incredible natural landscape, beaches, and of course it's most famous building, the Dr Chau Chak Wing Building which was designed by Frank Gehry and was made to look like it has skin folds and paper bag creases... look that up it's weird.

First of all, it's pronounced "dnʲiprɔpɛˈtrɔwsʲk" so good luck practicing that (the locals call it "Dnipro"). With about a million residents, most of whom are Jewish (JK, like none of them are Jewish), Dnipro is a gorgeous city on the banks of the Dnieper and Samara Rivers. Dnipro is an industrial city, but has great cultural attractions, theaters, opera, and the local soccer team FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk, which is the only Soviet team to win the USSR Federation Cup twice (so take that Chișinău, Stadionul Republican!).
