Colgate University's Student Protest: When Love And Microaggression Meet
Since September 22, 2014, over 300 Colgate University students have occupied almost every inch of Colgate's Hurwitz Office of Admission building, for what is now a 5 day straight sit-in. The student-led organization, Association of Critical Collegians (ACC), is promoting a list of demands to make Colgate University a more inclusive space. Protesters are very committed to this action plan. Colgate's campus is filled with signs saying, " #I2amColgate, #SitinToStandUp, and #CanYouHearUsNow," to lift up voices that have too often been silenced.
