How To Order From Chipotle Properly

A step by step guide on how to order Chipotle properly,as told by a Chipotle employee.

1. We know waiting in line sucks.

Part of going to Chipotle is waiting in line, but please don't take out this frustration on a crew member. Our goal is to get people in and out as fast as possible, but when there are many people that do not understand how to order it backs everything up.

2. Tell us if you want a tortilla on the side first

A tortilla takes a few seconds to warm up, so by letting us know before hand we can warm it up as we are starting your order.

3. Tell us if you want it for here or to go, then what you want.

We need different things for different requests, by letting us know if you want a lid or not right away saves a few seconds and allows us to get started on your food right away.

4. Order your food in the order they are in the line.

It gets extremely confusing when a customer tells us what to put on their food out of order. Instead of saying I would like a chicken bowl, say I would like a bowl with white rice, black beans, and chicken. By telling us the ingredients in the order that they are placed in the line it will be easier for us to remember.

5. Remember that we are people

The people who are making your food have feelings too, so please remember to try to be a little nice. We know you are probably hungry and fed up due to waiting in line, but if you are nice to us we will be nice to you.

6. In the end enjoy your food!
