The Mod Remixed: Pretty Green Celebrates Best Of British @ LC:M

So, your man was invited to a few LC:M shows this January. London Collections: Men is a fast-growing and fantastic showcase of new British menswear. Much more than "fashion", it's about creativity, heritage and looking forward. Innovation. One of my 2015 highlights was Pretty Green's fifth 5th appearance at LC:M. The brand's AW15 collection is inspired by the explosion of British bands in 1960s America. A vital part of our cultural heritage and the fabric of our nation. One of the peaks of ‘The British Invasion” when music, fashion and film migrated from England over to the US and the hybrid styles that were formed as a result. I've always thought the best new sounds & style come from collaboration, creative thinking and mashing up ways of thinking. Anyway, this cultural movement across the pond has helped to inspire Pretty Green's creative process - the brand looking at the way musicians fire off each other to strive for richer more imaginative sounds. Interestingly, the AW15 collection focuses on the rivalry in the mid 60's between The Beatles and The Beach Boys, who with the release of a few albums pushed each other to reinvent music with far reaching changes that still apply today. A few of the pieces (included in a visual round-up below) really caught my eye. And well done to the team behind LC:M, great to see such a wealth of talent on display.
